Experience the timeless luxury of porcelain lusterware and afternoon tea with this vintage teacup and reticulated saucer set. The footed cup interior shimmers like mother of pearl, heavy gold accents frame the floral sections, and roses, dutch irises, and zinnias decorate the three panels on the cup.
I believe this unmarked cup and saucer set was manufactured in 1950s Japan, but I’ve hit a wall on identifying the manufacturer. The handle looks like Norcrest, but I’m unable to match the transferware pattern to any manufacturer.
As you can see from the close-up photo, this is a transferware set. The gold trim is intact with few wear marks. With vibrant floral transfers and no stains, both pieces are chip and crack free.
Whether you’re an avid teacup collector or just want something nice for sipping tea on quiet weekends, think about adding this delicate teacup and saucer set to your collection.
