Our Story
How 1064 Vintage Began
1064 Vintage, LLC started in the spider-infested hole beneath my parents’ basement steps. Last summer, we removed the old water heater and found eight apple crates stacked under the stairs.
In my family, "collecting" is Southern slang for "we never throw anything away." It's genetic. These apple crates with intact paper logos had my collector's brain picturing them as lined storage boxes on the non-existent shelves in my living room. Braving the spiders, I peeked inside the nearest crate.
Swanky Swig daffodil glasses poked through the crumbling pages of the June 8, 1979 Macon Telegraph. These crates held part of my great-great-aunts' glassware collection. Papa didn't give it all away. He gifted some to family, sold what he had to, boxed the rest up, and let it migrate from house to house until it ended up hidden behind the water heater.
Another crate held enough Fostoria sherbet glasses to host a church ice cream social—or maybe open a speakeasy. Somewhere between a pink Anchor Hocking bubble glass bowl and a uranium glass Hazel Atlas Aster tumbler, I fell in love all over again.

What I Love: A Lifetime Collector's Legacy
- I’ve always loved old decor. Who needs a modern House Beautiful when you have The Craftsman magazine, circa 1910? Stencils, embroidery, quilts, handpainted tile -- and don't get me started on stained woodwork! My style never quite evolved past 1935. I adore cherry Federal furniture, cherish Mema’s 1930s poetry books, and firmly believe every home should have glass doorknobs, quarter-sawn oak built-ins with dovetail drawers, and light fixtures with real character—not plastic.
Naturally, I fell in love with an 1890s Robinson Glass Company compote, which now sits on my fridge as the world’s prettiest "vase." It was destiny -- and it makes me smile every day.
But there's only so much room in a one-bedroom apartment.
Keeping some of my great-great-aunts' fabulous pretties meant narrowing down my stash, so I opened my Etsy shop and listed my first piece.
Why 1064 Vintage? An Old Family Address with History
1064—we say it "ten-sixty-four"—was the street address where my great-grandmother and her sisters pooled their resources to convert an old house in Macon, GA, into apartments. It’s where they welcomed my grandfather’s new bride during World War II and celebrated the births of grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. Though the house lost a battle with a tree in 1979, the address remains a family touchstone. Ask anyone in my family about some "neat old thing," and most will say, "Oh, that came from 1064."
1064 Vintage, LLC carries on the legacy of a family that never threw anything away. That cheese spread jar from 1935? It’s still a perfectly good drinking glass if you’re under five. Otherwise, it’s an oversized shot glass we’ll all pretend is "for water."
1064 Vintage's Promise: Curated and Authentic Vintage
As a collector myself, I know the difference between genuine vintage, inspired reproductions, and outright copies. I also know that starting in the 1960s, replicas flooded the market. While some are beautiful and worth having, others are less so. I can't promise that I'll catch everything-no (no one's perfect) but I do promise that if it's a reproduction or an "inspired by" piece, I'll state that clearly and price accordingly. If I misidentify something, I offer a full refund, including shipping costs, because that's my mistake, not yours.
