All shipments include a tracking number. Fragile items larger than 5 inches are double-boxed to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. We use packing paper, bubble wrap, and lots of tape, and sometimes packing peanuts or expanding foam inserts, to protect your purchases.
Forget pastel—this vintage quilt top is unapologetically loud with school bus yellow sashing that makes the pinwheel blocks pop. The blocks look like scraps cut from 1980s men's cotton shirts with reds, blacks, blues, and a pale orange plaid.
Rescued from a local estate sale, it’s machine-sewn, freshly hand-washed with Orvus paste, and line-dried .Measuring 72 inches wide by 85 inches long, it’s about twin-sized.
If I were finishing it, I’d add a wide, contrasting border and a row of half-sized blocks to bump it up to a queen, but that’s just one idea. With love in every stitch, this piece is waiting for you to finish it your way. Add your family’s own scrap blocks, choose lightweight batting for a summer feel, or try a geometric free-motion quilting pattern. Whatever you choose, your family will treasure this quilt for years to come.
Condition: Clean and hand-washed vintage, not ironed. No stains are visible, though there are a few spots where the quilter missed some stitches.
